Verizon Won’t Sell Microsoft Windows Phone 7 at Start
0Here’s a confusing one for you.
Bloomberg is reporting that Verizon Wireless will not offer a Windows Phone 7 device when the platform is launched later this year. This information comes from Verizon spokesperson Brenda Raney who told Bloomberg that her company will probably release a WP7 device sometime in 2011. While it is a bit shocking that Verizon will be missing out on all the Windows Phone 7 launch fun, Ms. Raney did insist that her company’s relationship with Microsoft is “solid.”

CleanRAM Just Updated to 2.3 | xda-developers
0CleanRam is one of those essential Windows Mobile utilities. Back when I had my TouchPro it would keep it running smooth with one cleanup a day. If you have not already downloaded it now it your chance to try the new version out.
Quite possibly one of the best apps available today to keep your device running smoothly just got updated. XDA member ronenpgjust released an update to his famous cleanRAM app for Windows Mobile. In case you are not familiar with it, the app is used to reclaim program memory from apps running in the background that either do not need to be running or that simply doesn’t close completely upon exit. A nice side effect of this app, is that if there are non responding programs, this app will close them and save you from having to do a hard reset, which is a nice perk if you have devices like the HD2 where the reset button is under the battery cover.
Adios, Kin. We hardly knew you
1In a move that is somewhat familiar from our good friends at Microsoft it looks like they are jumping ship on their Kin 1 and Kin 2 devices to put focus on Windows Mobile 7
In the past you may have seen some of my comments about Windows Mobile 7. If not I will not bore you with the details except to say that it is to Mobile Phones what the Zune was to media players, a second rate footnote at best.
Can Microsoft bounce back? Should they even try?
Personal rant: Stick with the 6.5 series MS. Don’t try to get into a market you are not designed for. 6.5 is flexible, hackable, and business oriented enough to keep your current fans. 7…well it will alienate your dedicated fans while not attracting the market you want.
